Madam Secretary

I guess this is an old show, but I couldn’t help being curious about Tea Leoni playing a powerful woman in the White House. Wanted to see her take on the patriarchy. The show is produced by Morgan Freeman and Eric Stoltz—free-thinking sensitive men, I’m sure—and not some powerful Hollywood woman, which is a shame—but good on those ol’ boys for fighting the good fight, right?
There’s a little too much of “Leaders of the free world” and all that self-aggrandizing crap…God and bend-over-backwards-respect for authority in American politics—for my taste—but, it is what it is.
Aside from that—or maybe because of it(?)—it is a thought-provoking and easily binge-able show.
